Farfetch has been investing heavily in transforming its organization to become truly data driven. One key project is the roll out of a new BI tool, Looker, associated to the overall initiative of empowering self-service reporting and analytics, with data governance.
The recently created area within the Data team: Reporting Solutions, is looking for a specialist that will be responsible for driving the adoption of the new BI tool into the business, and foster a continuous, aligned and governed development by the different decentralized analytical teams that we have in the organization.
The role will have the fully support from the data engineering teams responsible for the core Looker models, which are also responsible for the establishment of the development guidelines that all analytical teams must follow. Moreover, it will work closely with the data infrastructure teams to ensure that the data platforms are scalable to support a proper service for analytics and reporting.
This is an exciting and impactful role, which will be in direct contact with the key people in Analytics to support the extraction of value and insights from our data, our most valuable resource.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Run of bi-weekly best practice sharing sessions with Data Owners and Looker developers across the business, to promote sharing of tips & tricks, guidelines between the community, and ensure that everyone is aligned and aware of key topics related to our data platforms.
Data driven approach to understand how Looker and BigQuery are being used (interest trends, active users per day per business area, etc.) and how these insights can empower a better adoption of the tools.
Who you are:
A professional with a minimum of 4 years of experience developing data models and dashboards in a number of *BI tools *eg: Tableau, Qlikview, Business Objects, PowerBI, Excel etc. Experience of Looker would be an advantage but is not necessary
